Кэти Вуд АКШнын аракеттери крипто миграциясына себеп болушу мүмкүн деп эсептейт

Cathie Wood shared her thoughts on the crypto scenario in the U.S. and thinks the crypto exodus is here. Due to the war waged by the American authorities on the industry, many are looking at relocation options. Moreover, the regulations regarding digital assets need to be clarified & despite numerous attempts, coherence needs to be included.

Cathie Wood Argues About Crypto Migrating from the U.S.

A migration or exodus means masses leaving a settlement, citing hostility. Regulating something could be by involvement or force; the United States is taking the latter approach. Founder and CEO of Ark Invest Cathie Wood, while speaking at Fortune’s Most Powerful Next Gen conference last week, said that this approach from the authorities is causing hostility.

She shared her thoughts on the efforts made by the Biden Administration Choke Point 2.0 and the financial watchdog of the United States, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), discouraging the crypto industry.

Recent events like the infamous Ripple vs SEC case, issuance of Wells notice to crypto exchange Coinbase, etc., force crypto companies to relocate their operations to other countries. Both Coindesk and Ripple have hinted at shifting their business offshore.

Also, Bitcoin frontend Strike which recently opened businesses in 65 countries worldwide to provide lightning-fast BTC transactions and stablecoin holdings, moved its headquarters to El Salvador. However, its CEO Jack Mallers speaking at Bitcoin2023, said it would be the global headquartered, while the current Chicago HQ will also be operational.

Such geographical shifts are bad for a country’s demographics, and such incidents often happen in over-regulated jurisdictions. For instance, European drugmaker Bayers is to shift the focus of its business away from citing stringent regulatory measures.

Crypto companies’ gesture of leaving the U.S. can be either of the two scenarios. Either they are genuinely looking to relocate due to regulatory pressures, or they are trying to create leverage on the U.S. authorities by threatening to take the job creation and revenue elsewhere.

Wood feels that many entities painting the picture of mass migration belong to the second type. It may not be pure theatrics, but they are very close.

Cathie also said that despite the regulatory crackdown in the United States, the legal and equity system of the country has many advantages for the crypto industry. America has an unparalleled financial sector, with liberal VC funding channels, which many crypto startups take advantage of.

Even though every other crypto company is considering migrating, they must line up at the airports. Probably because they know they might be getting little for all the troubles required. If the crypto scenario of the last two years is put in the mix, investing heavily in relocation might not be a great idea.

When SEC chair Gary Gensler first took office in 2021, he warned crypto projects about his scepticism over “decentralized theatre.” The recent regulatory actions against the crypto industry in the United States mirrors his statement.

Cathie Wood is believed to be a considerable Bitcoin proponent and said that Bitcoin could reach $100,000 when trading at $250. BTC is trading at $26,410.44 at press time, dropping 1.14% in the last 24 hours.
